Job Summary

The Manager, HEOR plays an important role in helping our clients achieve commercial success through the development and execution of HEOR projects designed to demonstrate product value and drive market access and reimbursement. This role requires in-depth knowledge of HEOR research activities that can be utilized throughout the product development life cycle. The Manager will collaborate with clients and with other Continuum staff to design and carry out HEOR studies to generate reliable evidence that can be effectively communicated to patients, payers, government stakeholders, healthcare providers, and other decision-makers.

  • Demonstrate the mission, vision, values, and culture principles of Continuum Clinical 
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and completion of HEOR and related projects
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and budgets
  • Ensure project activities are consistent with project requirements and scope
  • Serve as the primary point of client contact, who establishes and maintains the relationship and flow of communication with clients
  • Lead or support the development of detailed literature reviews, reports, assessments, strategic plans, product dossiers, economic models, and scientific publications
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of interim and final deliverables 
  • Help solve complex client issues in a timely and appropriate manner with minimal management oversight
  • Understand the financial performance on projects and organize supporting documentation for client invoices and external payments
  • Provide mentoring and supervision to junior staff
  • Perform other activities necessary for the day-to-day operations of the HEOR practice
  • Support setting of, and compliance with departmental processes and procedures
  • Must be able to travel occasionally overnight and on weekends
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental standard operating procedures as well as FDA and other governmental regulations (e.g., IRB, EC)
  • Ensure all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulatory and federal regulations
  • Maintain up to date weekly time tracking
  • Based on client and internal project demands, additional duties may be assigned

Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • An advanced degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in health economics, epidemiology, health services research, biostatistics, nursing, pharmacy, or a related discipline
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to generate HEOR evidence to support the value of health care interventions
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and/or health economics and outcomes research consulting environment desirable
